Haagplanten
Haagplanten in Taxus baccata , Osmanthus heterophyllus en burkwoodii, Carpinus betulus en Fagus sylvatica zijn ook een specialisatie van Filori-plant boomkwekerij in kleine maten tot buitenmaatse afmetingen.
De groottes gaan vanaf 20, 30 cm tot wel 5/6 meter hoogte afhankelijk van de soort en het budget dat kan vrij gemaakt worden en welke noden er zijn om op een bepaalde plaats deze haagplanten te gebruiken om storende elementen in het landschap weg te werken. De planten worden met grote zorg gekweekt met respect voor de natuur, we laten ze opgroeien op een ecologische manier waarbij we lage concentraties kunstmest gebruiken. Op deze manier zijn onze haagplanten in Taxus , Osmanthus en Ilex sterker resistent tegen ziekten die de planten verzwakken voor aangroei op de nieuwe bestemmingen waar we aanleveren.
Ons assortiment haagplanten is zeer breed te noemen, in zowel de groenblijvende soorten als de bladverliezende varianten. Eveneens beschikt Filori Plant over meer gecultiveerde selecties en inheemse soorten voor het maken van natuurlijke omgevingen.
Hagen zijn zeer populair om privacy te creëren in tuinen tussen buren en openbare plaatsen of om spanning op te bouwen in projecten zodat je niet meteen de ganse tuin in één oogwenk aanschouwt maar dat je op ontdekking moet gaan in de tuin om alles te zien aan kleuren en geuren. Haagplanten zijn ideaal om bij elkaar te planten om massieven of groepen te vormen, al dan niet dicht bij elkaar en al dan niet gesnoeid om een vorm te maken.

Haagelementen
In de Filori-plant bvba boomkwekerij te Brecht zijn vele variëteiten aan haagelementen beschikbaar. Deze vallen in principe onder een vormsnoei maar in de praktijk horen ze ook tot de veredelde haagplanten aangezien ze een vorm hebben die gemaakt is om als elementen in een haag tegen elkaar aan te planten om een aaneengesloten geheel te vormen. Ze zijn dus in kubusvorm om lage direct volle brede hagen aan te planten (dus zowel even breed als hoog) alsook in balkvorm te verkrijgen voor het vormen van het hogere assortiment instant hagen.
Haagelementen zijn zeer gekend bij de projecten waar men onmiddellijk een gewenst effect wil bekomen. De bouwheer hoeft dus niet jaren te wachten tot het gewenste resultaat maar kan direct genieten van de privacy in zijn tuin. Uiteraard zijn deze haagelementen uitermate geschikt als afscheiding tussen buren, om geluidshinder te beperken tegen straatzijden of storende elementen weg te bergen in stadstuinen. Doorheen de geschiedenis werden reeds hagen gebruikt o.a. in kasteeltuinen om kamers te vormen met in elke kamer een ander tuinontwerp met eigen thema ; de rozentuin , de medicinale tuin enz. Hagen zijn uiterst geschikt als windbeschutting om aangename, beschutte plaatsen te creëren.
Hagen zijn in al hun glorie te bewonderen rond de vele kastelen in gans Europa en daarbuiten. De meest gekende soorten die in aanmerking komen als haagelement zijn: Taxus baccata , Buxus sempervirens , Osmanthus burkwoodii , Osmanthus heterophyllus , Carpinus betulus , Fagus sylvatica , Ilex aquifolium maar we hebben nog veel meer soorten beschikbaar op onze kwekerij.
