Filori-plant

Who are we?
Filori-plant bvba is a nursery of instant hedges in the north of Antwerp. We cultivate plants that you can use for modern tight creations, as for English cottage, French gardens, natural landscape gardens and rural environments. We are specialised in larger plants for making hedges, massives and cloud-hedging. We have customers in inland and abroad. By our international approach, we have the best contacts and we are working closely together with gardeners and garden-architects all over Europe.

What are we doing?
Filori-plant bvba cultivate mostly instant-hedges between 150cm and 250cm height, but the higher and smaller sizes are also available. We deliver evergreen plants as well as not evergreen hedging-elements. The Filori-plants are also very suitable for forming natural cloud- hedging.

Which varieties of plants can you find by us?
On this internet site you find a number immediately available plants with their images, varieties and sizes. However our offer is much bigger and probable we have also for your project the plants available you need. At this moment we have a beautiful offer of bushy Quercus ilex, perfect for cloud-hedging and hedging-elements. For the nature and birds-lovers we form English mixed-hedges. These hedges existence mostly out Hawthorn (Crateagus monogyna) 70%, Field thorn (Acer campestre) 10%, Holly (Ilex aquifolium) 10%, and Privet (Ligustrum ovalifolium) 10%. Other compositions are of course perfectly possible. When you are working with the full-grown Filori-plants for instant-hedges, you need to calculate with 2 plants by linear metre. For each project we gladly develop a proposal. When you give us the numbers of square metres or linear metres and your wishes, we help you gladly further.

Quality!
The Filori-plants are cultivated carefully at large distances, so the sun can also shine on the lower parts of the plants. (Please looking at the images) The plants are frequently clipped for to become a dense quality. We are working with a tight production plan, so all the necessary tasks become seasonable done: Giving fertilizer, disease prevention, root control… Our nursery delivers only plants approved by the FAVV (an independent health inspection organization of the government)

All the plants at Filori-plant are pulled up by machines with a rootball-puller. The rootballs are packed with digestible jute. Than we’re doing a wire around the rootball to keep them solid for transport. The plants are loading with 4 or 5 plants on wooden pallets and so they find their road by lorry to our customers all over Europe.
